As we have mentioned before, and has been mentioned in research and various articles, that physical activity increases self-esteem and overall health.

What does this mean then with the introduction of the Wii Fit? Will this tech toy increase physical activity and self-esteem? Or is it just a game? If you play the Nintendo Wii Fit, give your thoughts! If you do not, tell us what you think as well!

    I was thinking that maybe something like this would get me to work out more? I don’t like the gym, and I don’t have a routine to work out although I know how important it is. I like computers so maybe something like this would work for something like me. I figure as long as you are getting excercise it doesn’t fully matter where it is coming from.

    Oh yea, I agree too, especially since many women are so self-conscious when going to gyms. They are not only pricey but the idea of being watched is intimidating. However, the Wii is probably expensive too. But if you are going to really use it, it just may pay for itself in self-esteem and health!

    I think it’s a great idea for all the above stated reasons. Have you ever done Dance Dance Revolution, that is a work out and it’s a blast so I would think that the Wii Fit would be a similar experience. I also checked on the price and to get the wii it would cost you $250 and then the games are around $90, the sign up cost of a gym membership is around $300 plus the monthly cost of $25-$50. I say the wii is an overall better deal.
